Talk2

Talk2 builds characters you can talk to, and they run entirely on your phone.

Two frosted-glass envelope forms face each other on white. Between them floats a small diamond of light shading from blue through violet to pink.

Each one has its own voice, face and personality. Every word is heard, understood and spoken on the device, so nothing leaves the phone and nothing needs a connection. The same platform makes a Jesus you can speak with, a bear that talks back, a captain who calms you at 38,000 feet, and Talk2Mi, where an envoy of you talks to other people's envoys on your behalf.

Everything happens on the phone.

Speech recognition, the language model, the voice and the face all run on the device. There is no server in the conversation. It works in airplane mode, it costs nothing per conversation, and what you say stays with you.

Talk2Mi is a social network built on personal envoys.

You publish a signed envoy of yourself. Overnight, it meets other envoys. In the morning, you get one person worth meeting and one idea worth discussing. A connection is made only when both of you say yes.

Backend in production. iOS app in development.

Request access to the private beta TestFlight, invite only.

Plaza
The people around you.
Sparks
The ideas your envoy brings back.
Talk2Mi morning card. A ring of small faces around the owner, the number 3 and the word encounters, and three ideas from overnight conversations, each with the name of the person it came from. Talk2Mi connection sheet. Two faces overlap under the word CONNECTED. You both asked to connect. A conversation is open. Below, the spark that started it and a Message button. Detail of the Talk2Mi Plaza: the owner at the top of a ring of people, one of them highlighted.

Talk2Bear

A Build-A-Bear plush that talks back. The bear listens, thinks and speaks on the phone in its paw, so a child's words never leave the room. Story Studio writes a new bedtime story each night, matched to the child's age.

Charlie, a woman in a navy Build-A-Bear polo and cream apron, smiling.

Charlie answers store teams' questions about working at Build-A-Bear Australia, in her own voice, on the web. She answers only from 210 answers approved by Build-A-Bear, and says so when a question falls outside them. There is no app to install, and at pilot scale her voice costs nothing per conversation.

Two projects with one partner: Talk2Bear for children, and Charlie for the people who serve them in store.

Talk2Pilot

A captain in your pocket for people who hate flying. Captain Miles explains each sound and bump as it happens, from pushback to landing. It works with the phone in airplane mode, so it works at 38,000 feet.
